A trauma-informed relaxation (20 mins)
Alternating bilateral stimulation (BSL) is often used in EMDR therapy as it has the rhythmic stimuli has a soothing effect on the nervous system, helping a person move out of flight and fight. Please use headphones with the right earpiece in the right ear for best effect.
This yoga nidra relaxation uses bilateral stimulation in several ways: alternating sounds in the left and right ears, using self-touch on left and right sides of the body, moving the eyes left and right, and visualising being inside and outside of a threshold to the left and right of you. The effect of this is a deep relaxation.

For getting to sleep… or getting back to sleep…
Rather than bring you out of the relaxation, this one leaves you to rest. If you need to get up for a certain time, please set an alarm.
